About this event

I have been selling the wines from the Cousino-Macul winery since 1989 or 1990, and have even used their Sauvignon Gris as an Explorer Club selection last year. For this reason we are excited to welcome Carlos Cousino Valdes, the president of the winery, to taste us through a selection of his amazing wines. This tasting will focus mostly on red wines and Carlos will give us insight into his family’s long history in the region.

About this event

The Fattoria le Pupille is recognized by most experts as the premier estate in the coastal Tuscany region of Scansano. The wines of the area, Morellino di Scansano, are rich and elegant wines that are fantastic Italian gateway wines for California red wine fans. On this evening we welcome Ettore Rizzi, the winemaker and son of the legendary owner Elisabetta Geppetti. Ettore will show us their incredible wines from the coast of Tuscany, including Saffredi, their perennial 99-100 point rated Super Tuscan.
