I call the selections this quarter my Tom Landry picks. The legendary coach of the Dallas Cowboys had a simple approach to drafting college players; take the best athlete available regardless of position. Despite losing to the Steelers in two Super Bowls (see my bio) Landry’s formula worked, winning 270 games in his career and 20 consecutive winning seasons. This quarter there is no theme to my selections, just great wines that stood out as better than the others we tasted.
