DESCRIPTION:One of the great joys of collecting wine for more than 30 years is having a cellar full of wines that are at peak maturity. While I enjoy all my great Burgundies\, Barolos\, and Brunellos with a decade or more of age\, the wines that consistently impress me the most are my aged wines from the Northern Rhône Valley. The complexity of mature Syrah\, grown in the granite hills south of Lyon\, is truly thrilling. On this evening\, we will look at a collection of wines from Bastien Jolivet\, one of the brightest young lights of the St. Joseph appellation. We will examine his beautiful examples of red and white wines\, showing that you can enjoy them young or with time. Stop in and taste for yourself!
